This winter’s photo project was to visit a relatively unknown cave in the coastal region of Slovenia. The cave is very interesting – after some narrow parts one gets to the small river. Water is very rich in calcite so the riverbed is totally covered with flowstone. At first there are a few shafts then the slope became less steep and the cave continues as a water channel until it ends with a sump. It took us four visits to rig, photograph and de-rig the cave. We even shot a short video, which is to be published later. The cave is quite fragile – it is easy to brake flowstone formations if not careful – so we decided not to disclose cave’s real name.

I am glad you are protecting the location and name of this cave. Thank you for sharing and thank you for caring.
